Artist Statement
Dana Zvulun was raised in the heart of Tanzania, surrounded by the rhythms of wildlife and the quiet strength of nature. That landscape; alive with movement, color, and silence has shaped her. Since then, she has lived in four different countries, never quite sure where she truly belongs. But nature has always remained constant. In its presence, she finds home. Whether it's the Tanzanian savannah, where the grass sways like a living memory, or the quiet vastness beneath the ocean’s surface, nature grounds her. It reminds her of who she is. Her work is a reflection of that connection, an attempt to hold onto fleeting moments, textures, and patterns that have imprinted themselves onto her soul. She recreates the landscapes of her past and present through form and material. Each piece she makes is a chapter of her life, shaped by memory and rooted in reverence for the natural world. While she explores a variety of mediums, ceramics remains her true language. For Dana, there is something grounding in working with clay; an earthy, organic material that mirrors the raw beauty and imperfection of nature itself. Through her art, she strives to offer others a glimpse into the world as she sees it: alive, powerful, and sacred.
